At VuProjects, we take your academic and personal privacy seriously. We understand that your research journey is a private matter, and we are committed to protecting the information you share with us across our website and the Vu Projects mobile application.

1. The Confidentiality Promise (The “Ironclad” Rule)

This is our primary commitment: Your identity and your association with VuProjects are 100% confidential. * We will never disclose your name, institution, or project details to any third party, university department, or academic board.

  • Your work is treated as a private consultancy between you and our lead researcher.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect the information necessary to provide you with expert research services. This includes:

  • Contact Details: Name, email address, and WhatsApp number (for seamless communication).
  • Academic Context: Level of study (ND, B.Sc, M.Sc, etc.) and your specific project format/requirements.
  • Transaction Data: Payment confirmations to track your milestones via your Live Tracking Link.

Mobile App Data & Permissions: The Vu Projects app requires basic internet permissions to fetch research topics from our secure servers. To provide a fast, seamless experience even on poor networks, the app temporarily caches text data locally on your device. We do not track your device’s location, access your contacts, or view your personal device storage.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your information is used strictly for:

  • Fulfilling your research request and ensuring the 5-year citation rule is met for your specific field.
  • Communicating project updates and delivery via email or WhatsApp.
  • Internal project management (e.g., using your “Smart Stamp” ID to track progress).

4. Data Storage & Security

  • No Long-Term Storage: Once a project is completed, defended, and “Closed,” we purge personal identifiers from our internal database after a standard 60-day period.
  • Encryption & API Security: Communication via WhatsApp is end-to-end encrypted. Data transmitted between the Vu Projects mobile app and our servers is secured using modern, token-based authentication protocols to prevent unauthorised access or data scraping.

5. Third-Party Disclosure (Zero Sharing)

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties. This includes academic institutions or other student clients. Your research findings are unique to you and are never repurposed for another client.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You maintain complete control over your data. While we automatically purge personal identifiers from our systems 60 days after a project is closed, you have the right to request immediate deletion at any time. To request the complete erasure of your data, email us at [email protected], and we will process your request within 48 hours.

As a business operating within the Nigerian digital space, VuProjects complies with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR). We respect your right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time.
