DevOps adoption in Nigerian telecommunications companies represents a significant shift in software delivery culture, yet empirical documentation of its application in local contexts remains sparse. This study investigates the implementation of DevOps practices at MTN Nigeria, one of the country's largest telecommunications operators, focusing on continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure-as-code adoption within its software engineering division. The research employs a descriptive survey design, with structured questionnaires administered to 45 software engineers, DevOps practitioners, and IT managers at MTN Nigeria's Ikoyi, Lagos, and Abuja offices. Quantitative analysis examines deployment frequency, mean time to recovery, and change failure rate before and after DevOps adoption. Results show a 58 percent improvement in deployment frequency and a 44 percent reduction in mean time to recovery over 18 months following DevOps tool integration. The study also finds that organisational culture, particularly resistance from siloed teams, constitutes the primary barrier to full DevOps maturity. A maturity assessment conducted using the DORA metrics framework classifies MTN Nigeria's software division at the medium-performance tier, with clear pathways identified toward elite performance. Professional recommendations focus on cross-functional team restructuring, automated testing investment, and change management communication strategies.
