📖 ABSTRACT/OVERVIEW
Enterprise resource planning systems integrate core business functions into unified platforms, and their successful implementation in Nigerian manufacturing organisations requires careful change management and technical execution strategies. This study professionally assesses the implementation outcomes of the SAP ERP system at Nigerian Breweries Plc, Lagos, South West Nigeria. A case study design was applied using a mixed-methods approach combining a structured questionnaire survey of 120 functional system users across finance, supply chain, human resources, and production departments with fifteen key informant interviews involving project implementation leads and departmental heads. Implementation success was evaluated against the six dimensions of the DeLone and McLean IS Success Model: system quality, information quality, service quality, use intensity, user satisfaction, and net benefits. Descriptive statistics and thematic analysis were applied. Literature on ERP implementation in Nigerian manufacturing identifies inadequate end-user training, data migration quality failures, and resistance to process reengineering as the three most impactful implementation risk factors. The Critical Success Factors framework and Change Management Theory by Kotter provide the professional reference standard. Findings indicate high system quality and net benefit scores in finance and supply chain, while human resources module adoption lagged due to incomplete localisation for Nigerian payroll regulations. The study recommends post-implementation review cycles, module-specific super-user programmes, and regulatory compliance customisation as standard implementation practices. Keywords: ERP implementation, SAP, Nigerian Breweries, Lagos State, change management.
