The manual processing and publication of academic results in Nigerian universities are associated with delays, transcription errors, and limited student access to performance data. This study develops a web-based student result management system for the Department of Computer Science at Ebonyi State University (EBSU). The system automates the entry, computation, and publication of course grades, cumulative grade point averages, and academic standing classifications. Development followed the Agile methodology, with iterative sprints covering database design, backend API development using Laravel (PHP), and frontend implementation using Vue.js. Role-based access control was implemented to distinguish permissions between lecturers, departmental administrators, and students. The system was tested with simulated datasets representing three academic sessions and subsequently piloted with actual data from two departments during the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year. Results indicate a 79 percent reduction in result processing time compared to manual procedures and a zero-error rate in GPA computation across 1,200 test records. Unauthorized access attempts were successfully blocked in all penetration testing scenarios. Student satisfaction with result accessibility improved significantly based on post-pilot surveys. The study concludes that automated result management systems improve academic administrative quality and student experience in Nigerian universities. Integration with EBSU's student information portal and biometric authentication are recommended for future iterations.
