This study examines the current state of music entrepreneurship education and its integration into undergraduate and postgraduate music curricula in selected universities in South West Nigeria. The Nigerian music industry has produced globally competitive artists and generates billions of naira annually; however, many music graduates lack the business acumen, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial mindset required to build sustainable professional careers. This research investigates the extent to which music entrepreneurship concepts such as intellectual property management, project funding, music business law, branding, and digital marketing are embedded within music degree programmes at the University of Lagos, Obafemi Awolowo University, and Lagos State University. A document analysis of curriculum syllabi is supplemented by semi-structured interviews with 15 music department heads and lecturers and focus group discussions with 30 final-year music students. The study draws on entrepreneurship education theory, creative industries management literature, and recent comparative studies of African university music programmes. Findings will identify the depth, consistency, and pedagogical quality of entrepreneurship content currently offered. Recommendations address curriculum redesign, industry-university partnership models, and faculty development for music entrepreneurship instruction. Keywords: Music entrepreneurship, curriculum integration, university music education, South West Nigeria, creative industries.
