📖 ABSTRACT/OVERVIEW
This study investigates the role of change leadership in driving organisational transformation at the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), with data drawn from staff across North Central and South West operational districts. NIPOST has embarked on a significant transformation agenda aimed at repositioning postal services within Nigeria's evolving digital logistics landscape. This research employs a survey research design with structured questionnaires administered to 100 management staff and postal officers. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and regression analysis. The study evaluates change leadership dimensions including vision communication quality, leadership credibility, employee empowerment during change, change monitoring practices, and resistance management strategies. Results indicate that vision communication quality and leadership credibility are the most critical change leadership determinants of transformation success, measured through employee buy-in rates, process redesign completion, and service delivery improvement metrics. Employee empowerment was found to have a significant moderating effect, with organisations where staff were actively involved in transformation planning recording better transformation outcomes. The study recommends that NIPOST's executive management invest in leadership communication training, develop transparent transformation roadmaps, and institutionalise regular transformation performance reviews. Keywords: change leadership, organisational transformation, NIPOST, postal service, Nigeria.
