Organizational readiness is a critical prerequisite for successful ERP implementation, encompassing management commitment, user preparedness, and infrastructure adequacy. This study examines the influence of organizational readiness on ERP system implementation success in manufacturing firms in Ogun State, South West Nigeria. A cross-sectional survey will recruit 140 IT directors, project sponsors, ERP administrators, and end users from 12 manufacturing companies in the Sagamu and Agbara industrial zones that have implemented or are implementing ERP systems. The Organizational Readiness for Change Scale (ORCS) will assess readiness dimensions, and ERP success will be measured using the DeLone and McLean IS Success Model across system quality, information quality, user satisfaction, and net benefits. Multiple regression will identify readiness dimensions most predictive of success. Nigerian manufacturing ERP evidence consistently highlights inadequate change readiness assessment prior to implementation as a primary failure driver. Findings will guide project sponsors, ERP vendors, and consultants in designing readiness assessment protocols for Nigerian manufacturing sector ERP projects.
